I first went through The Big BAM Process with Joel Kelly in 2018. I was seven years into owning my business, iEvolve Photo, but only about a year into doing it full time. I had plenty of experience in journalism, both full-time and freelance, but lacked the structure to provide consistent results for clients. I was doing my best, but it was all up to me. No team, no frameworks.

I'm a brand strategist who has been in need of outside strategy for quite some time. I've dragged my feet coming up with excuse after excuse. I finally chose BAM's online course (BAM = Branding Alignment Messaging).

I chose this particular route for one main reason which stood out to me. The use of Carl Jung's 12 archetypes. What drove me to this was the amount of time Joel Kelly has spent harnessing this information and testing, testing, and testing with qualified people to ensure that the information is correctly used.

I found the course to be well explained and thought out. Very clear and easy to follow. It is very much a course in which one needs to let go and follow the guide (in this case Joel Kelly). It all comes together in the end and makes complete sense.

One thing I would like to highlight, make sure you use pen and paper for the entire exercise. It makes a big difference. There are some really tough parts where you might struggle as authenticity plays a massive part in the work. There is no way around this. Another observation adds another third to the recommended time. Distractions played havoc with me, mostly excuses coming from my sub-conscience.
